On January 22, President of the National Bank of Argentina Carlos Melkonian was hosted at the Armenian Center of Argentina where guests were treated to Armenian national dishes. The event was held on the sidelines of cooperation and was attended by members of community organizations, benefactors, RA Ambassador to Argentina Alexan Harutyunyan, Consul Estera Mkrtumyan and other guests, reports Sardarabad newspaper to Hayern Aysor.

Carlos Melkonian first visited the Saint Gregory the Illuminator Armenian Church where he received a blessing from Archbishop Gissak Mouradian. In the reception hall of the archbishop, President of the Armenian Center Alberto Jerejian expressed his greetings to the gathered.

Melkonian expressed gratitude for the reception and noted that every time he mentions his Armenian descent, people express kind words about the Armenians, describing the Armenian community as a unified community of hard-working people.

“We are performing a difficult and very responsible task so that we can achieve success,” Carlos Melkonian added.

At the end, the Armenian Center presented Carlos Melkonian with an Armenian silver cross and a book with photos of Armenia.
