On the evening of February 7, at the initiative of the board of the Boys’ Unit of “Ararat” Armenian Sport and Cultural Union of New Djulfa and in cooperation with all the members of the Unit, the Union’s gym hosted the traditional Armenian Boon Barekendan holiday, reports Yeranoush Tahmazian to Hayern Aysor.

After the welcome and opening speeches, 55 Armenians dressed in costumes participated in a contest, and the best characters were rated by a jury.

During the celebration, hundreds of attendees enjoyed the dishes and drinks prepared by the Boys’ Unit, and children enjoyed eating packaged pastries and other foods. The Unit was also selling masks and giving visitors the chance to wear makeup, all for the benefit of the Union.

It should be mentioned that the Union’s Cultural and Scouts Units had also helped organize the concert and supply the foods.
