Youth Center of Akhalkalak celebrated Saint Sarkis the Warrior Day

According to tradition, once again, the Youth Center of Akhalkalak celebrated the day of Saint Sarkis the Warrior, reports akhaltskha.net, according to Hayern Aysor.

With a basket of salty cookies made and wrapped at the Center, the members and teachers of the Center and the young members of the Zory Zoryan Youth Union walked from the Youth Center of Akhalkalak to the Holy Cross Church of Akhalkalak with the accompaniment of ?Saint Sarkis the Warrior’.

All the attendees said a church prayer and received salty cookies that had been blessed.

According to custom, young people eat a salty cookie on the night before St. Sarkis Day with the belief that they will see their future bride or groom in their dreams and with the hope that, as the day symbolizes, St. Sarkis the Warrior will help them and will keep an eye on all lovers.
