Ohanyan: Azerbaijan economic situation will psychologically affect its army

The situation on the frontline is calm for over the past ten days.
The Minister of Defense of Armenia, Seyran Ohanyan, on Friday told the aforementioned to Armenian News-NEWS.am.
“There was some tension at the beginning of the year,” the minister noted. “Yesterday, there were two shots from a mortar, but the situation is under control.”
Ohanyan said he does not think that the current economic situation in Azerbaijan can reflect on border tensions and settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
“This problem must be resolved through negotiations,” he added. “Azerbaijan understands that a response given by the Armenian armed forces. All these are considered general containment mechanisms. And if Azerbaijan’s budget reductions, economic situation do not substantially reflect on their possessions, I believe they will impact on the [Azerbaijani] armed forces, psychologically, ideologically.”
