Kroonk Dance Ensemble gives concert dedicated to the 60th anniversary of Ararat Armenian Sport and Cultural Union

On the evening of December 3, on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of Ararat Armenian Sport and Cultural Union of New Djulfa, the Kroonk Dance Ensemble of the Union’s Cultural Unit gave a concert under the direction of dance instructor Hakob Margarian and poetry club representative Rima Simonian and in cooperation with dance rehearsal manager Kristine Hakobian, reports correspondent for Ararat Armenian Sport and Cultural Union of New Djulfa Yeranoush Tahmazian to Hayern Aysor.
Chairperson of the board of the Cultural Unit Karmen Ghevian gave a welcome speech in which she briefly talked about the concerts that the ensemble has given in Iran and abroad and the high appraisal that it has received. Afterwards, Ghevian gave the floor to Kroonk Ensemble.
The three groups of the ensemble performed 15 numbers, the first of which was the “Zartonk” (Awakening) dance, followed by “Goghtani”, “Hanino”, “Karapner” (Swans), “Shatakhi”, “Shiraki”, “Sevani”, “Hunakan” (Greek), “Tonakan” (Festive) and other dances. During the event, members of the Union’s poetry club Taleen Movsisian and Lalageh Isaghulian recited parts from Sayat Nova’s poem “Yes Ku Ghimete Chem Giti” and Vahan Teryan’s “Karusel” (Carousel). The poems were followed by Vana Shirvanian’s performances of the songs based on those poems, after which Tania Minasian recited Silva Kaputikyan’s poem “Endimakhosutyun” (Retort).
What was also interesting was the children’s perfect performance of the children’s dance called “Lidushik”, which excited the audience.
The concert ended with a dance to the sounds of the song “Hzor Haiastan” (Strong Armenia) performed by all the participants and members of the Union. Afterwards, the chairperson of the board of the Cultural Unit expressed gratitude to all the participants, directors and the Central Committee for helping make the event possible.
In his closing speech at the beautiful event during which many messages were conveyed, Primate of the Armenian Diocese of Isfahan, Archbishop Babken Charian appreciated the event, praised the members of the ensemble and, as always, called on boys to join the dance ensemble. His Holiness also said boys always had to stand by girls’ side so that together they can form a strong army and make the Armenian community stronger and more glorious. Praising the members of the Union and the leaders of the ensemble, Archbishop Charian especially expressed his appreciation of the little dancers.
His Holiness also said he was happy and proud that the event was dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the establishment of Ararat Union and paid his respects to the founding leaders and current members of the Union. He also said he was happy and proud that the several events help keep the community viable and active.
It should be mentioned that the packed audience showed great interest in the concert.
