Indictment on Hrant Dink’s murder finally sent to Istanbul court

Prosecutor General’s Office of Turkey allowed to send to the court the indictment drawn up by the prosecutor of Hrant Dink, Armenian journalist assassinated in Turkey.

The indictment, which includes new charges against the Turkish officials in the context of Dink’s case has been sent to Istanbul’s 14th Court for Serious Crimes, Istanbul-based Armenian “Agos” newspaper reports.

Earlier, the indictment prepared by Dink’s prosecutor Gökalp Kökçü was returned by Prosecutor General’s Office twice.

Istanbul’s 14th Court for Serious Crimes should accept or decline the indictment within 15 days.

The indictment accuses high-ranking officials, including the ex-governor of Istanbul.
