Armenian Genocide commemorative khachkar unveiled in Ireland

A ceremony honoring memory of the Armenian Genocide victims was held in Christ Church Cathedral, Dublin, Armenpress reports.

 

At the event, Primate of the Armenian Churches of the United Kingdom Bishop Hovakim Manukian, Catholic Archbishop of Dublin Diarmuid Martin, as well as Archbishop Michael Jackson delivered speeches.

 

Also, a khachkar was unveiled and consecrated in the courtyard of the Cathedral once the ceremony was over.

 

This is the first Genocide commemorative monument unveiled in Ireland.
