In August 2015, by the decree of President of Uzbekistan I. A. Karimov, President of the Armenian National-Cultural Center of Uzbekistan (ANCCU) Martin Setyan was awarded with the “Dustlik” Order of Friendship of Nations, reports Hayern Aysor.

This award is important in that Martin Setyan is the first Armenian to receive this high state award of Uzbekistan since the order was established in 1994.

The award was granted during a ceremony held in Tashkent on December 2.
