On November 13, RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan received Co-Chair of the Armenian-French Federation for Legal Professions and French-Armenian benefactor Raymond Ezegelian, who has supported the implementation of several pro-Armenian initiatives in France and Armenia.

The guest expressed great satisfaction with the programs that the Ministry of Diaspora carries out for preservation of the Armenian identity and particularly praised the “Ari Tun” Program, which helps provide Diaspora Armenian youth with the opportunity to become familiar with Armenia and establish contacts with each other.

Expressing gratitude to the guest for his appraisal of the ministry’s activities, the minister also expressed gratitude for Ezegelian’s pro-national efforts and his support to the implementation of the ministry’s programs.

During the meeting, the sides also touched upon issues related to the state of the Syrian-Armenians in Armenia.

The minister provided details about the government’s support to the Syrian-Armenians and the current difficulties.

The sides also discussed other issues related to the development of the Armenia-Diaspora partnership.
