Concert devoted to Yerevan held in Krasnodar (photos)

The Armenians of Krasnodar are becoming more and more active, and the quality of life is increasing year after year, in spite of the not too favorable geopolitical trends. Sometimes you feel pain when you realize that this is partially due to the ongoing emigration from the Mother Homeland, and sometimes you console yourself when you see that Armenians are undisputedly becoming more and more patriotic and that the time will come when many Armenians will return to the Promised Land.

By establishing the Vardanyan Center for Education and Culture, the Armenian Diocese of Southern Russia not only fostered the development of Armenian education and culture, but also helped the youth organization carry out more programs. The Narek Song and Dance Ensemble has been around for 12 years, and the “Armat” (Root) School has been around for 9 years, and throughout the years of their existence, the school and the ensemble shaped a great history thanks to the daring initiatives of the youth.

Throughout October, the three organizations of the Vardanyan Center hosted different kinds of events dedicated to the 2,797th anniversary of Yerevan that ended with a big festive concert.

The Center is already well-known in all parts of the Diocese, and people from different residential areas want to visit and enjoy the Armenian moods. Lusine Nersisyan is a teacher, and despite her young age, she has already managed to establish the “Zartonk” Armenian Sunday School of the St. Hripsime Church of Yesentuki and has helped it grow. She and the students had come to participate in the event. With deep and shining eyes, these children an dyouth surprised the audience in Krasnodar with their talents, enthusiasm and dedication.

The unique songs and poems devoted to the marvelous Yerevan touched and enlightened the audience and convinced everyone that the small, distant and beautiful country, with its vivid capital, is waiting for all Armenians, is longing for them, feels pain for each Armenian who leaves and feels happy for every Armenian’s return.

But when the frost came down on the mountain,

And the wind of autumn struck your door,

The swallows all agreed,

Left your roofs and flew.

…Good luck to the swallows,

And a happy return to the spring that is coming.
