Federation Council Speaker of RF: RussianArmenian interparliamentary cooperation is at highest level

Russia Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matviyenko announced that RussianArmenian interparliamentary cooperation is at the highest level. According to her, the legislative bodies of the two countries coordinate their decisions and cooperate within such international parliamentary platforms as the CIS InterParliamentary Assembly, the Parliamentary Assemblies of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (PABSEC) and Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) as well as international parliamentary conferences. Matviyenko noted that effective activities in the framework of the interparliamentary cooperation commission between the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia and the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation contributed to strengthening of parliamentary cooperation between the two countries.
As it was reported earlier, the delegation of Russia Federation Council headed by Speaker Valentina Matviyenko paid a twoday official visit to Armenia on Nov. 2. Matviyenko will also meet with the President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan and Armenia PM Hovik Abrahamyan. The delegation of the upper chamber of the Russian Parliament will attend the opening of IV RussianArmenian Interregional Forum “Russia. Armenia. Eurasian Economic Union.
