224 balloons released in the air in Saint Petersburg in memory of victims of A321 plane crash
Citizens of Saint Petersburg released 224 balloons during a demonstration of mourning in memory of the victims of the A321 plane that was reported missing in Egypt, reports News.am.
Leader of the action Radmmir Husnutdinov informed RIA Novosti about the action, adding that the names of the victims were written on the balloons.
Husnutdinov also added that it had initially been planned to hold the action on the sidelines of the World Tour in defense of orphans with the title “Happiness Has No Nationality”. However, the format of the action was changed to respect the memory of those who died after the A321 plane was reported missing.
Nearly 2,000 people participated in the action, including children staying at orphanages in Saint Petersburg.
