On October 13, the State Ministry on Diaspora Issues of Georgia hosted the Global Diaspora Week event, which brought together delegates from 21 countries around the world. Among the participants of the Regional Diaspora Economic Forum representing Armenia were RA Deputy Minister of Diaspora Serzh Srapionyan, Advisor to the Minister of Diaspora Stepan Petrosyan, Head of the Department for Relations with the Near Diaspora Taron Shagoyan and Head of the Department for All-Armenian Programs Gagik Gyanjumyan.
During the forum held as part of Global Diaspora Week on October 13, the delegates of the Ministry of Diaspora gave theme-based speeches in which they presented the programs that the RA Ministry of Diaspora has carried out and the experience that it has gained over the past seven years, which the audience received with great appreciation.
The forum ended with a closing speech by RA Deputy Minister of Diaspora Serzh Srapionyan, who transmitted the welcome speech of RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan and attached importance to the need for such forums. “Today, we are all participating in a major forum. A couple of years is a short period for a ministry on Diaspora issues, but State Minister on Diaspora Issues of Georgia, Mr. Dumbadze has managed to create a structure that has been able to warm the hearts of Georgian businessmen and cultural figures abroad and bring them to the Homeland in a short period of time. I cordially congratulate the State Ministry on Diaspora Issues of Georgia for having achieved great results in a short period of time, evidence of which is the forum taking place today. I commend the fact that the ministry of our friendly country is benefiting from our experience in order to lead its efforts more effectively.”
The forum ended with an active and constructive debate.
