Armenia is ready to receive, if need be, all the Armenians remaining in Syria. Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan said the aforementioned in her interview with “Armenpress”, adding that currently there were 15­17 thousand Armenians in Syria.

“If they decide to come to Armenia, our state must do its best by means of joint efforts with international structures and different Armenian organizations to receive them. Naturally, we cannot provide them with flats now but we can find flats for rent, manage its fees to help people escape that fire circle,” emphasized Minister Hakobyan.

2500 Syrian­Armenians have come to Armenia during recent 3 months. Hranush Hakobyan noted that currently 17 thousand SyrianArmenians had settled in Armenia.
