Ancient humans in Armenia: Results of excavations in Armenia to be presented in Museum of Greenwich

Professor Daniel Adler of the University of Connecticut will deliver a lecture on “Excavations in Armenia: Transitions from lower to middle Paleolithic (425,000 to 130,000 years ago)” on September 17, at the Bruce Museum in Greenwich. “Armenpress” reports, citing greenwichpost.com, that Professor Adler conducts excavations at Nor Geghi community of Kotayk Province and other ancient sites in Armenia for several years.

“Over 3,000 obsidian artifacts have been excavated with significant results that he will discuss during the lecture”, reads the source. The lecture is sponsored by the Archaeological Associates of Greenwich (the AAG). The lecture is free to AAG, Bruce Museum members, students with ID and $15 to the public.
