Spain holding casting for supporting roles in Armenian Genocide film “The Promise”

Spain’s Babieka Films has announced a casting session to select actors to star in the film “The Promise”, which is devoted to the Armenian Genocide. The casting session will take place in Figueras, Spain, writes Artsakhpress.

According to excite.es, the film, the shootings of which were initiated and sponsored by Kirk Kerkorian, will star Christian Bale and Oscar Isaac with the script by Terry George. The casting session will take place between the 17th and 21st of July.

On those days, 1,000 people will be selected to play supporting roles. On July 17, the company will hold a casting session for 7-13-year-old children and adolescents. It is mentioned that preference will be given to those with black hair and dark skin.

Athletic men will be casted on July 18. On July 20 and 21, the company will select men and women between the ages of 20 and 60 with dark skin and eyes, as well as blonde men.

Shootings for the film will take place near Madrid, as well as in Segovia and Avila. The shootings in Figueras will be held at Sant Ferra Fortress, which is an 18th century military fortress built on a hill.
