Renowned Armenian weightlifter Yuri Vardanyan’s son, Norik recently scored a silver medal at the Pan American Games in Toronto.
Armsport.am reports that Vardanyan lifted 362 kg in the biathlon tournament in the 94 kg weight category, losing to U.S. weightlifter Kendrick Farisu by 4 kg.
Let us remind that in 2012, Narek Vardanyan participated in the London Olympic Games under the Armenian national flag and won 11th place with 380 kg in the biathlon.
