Russia sends 20 tons of Turkish imported peaches back after discovering harmful substances

Substances harmful for humans were discovered in 20 tons of peaches imported from Turkey to the Novorosiysk city of Krasnodar region of the Russian Federation. The peaches were sent back to Turkey after laboratory research.

Ermenihaber reports that the Turkish haberturk website, citing the words of presidential advisor of the Plants Protection and Quarantine Service (Россельхознадзор) of the Russian Federation Alexey Alexeyenko, mentions the following: “The products of the organization were examined at a laboratory. Based on the results, there was a harmful substance called “sunflower” found in the Turkish peaches. That’s why a decision was made to send the 20 tons of peaches back to Turkey.”

Let us mention that this isn’t the first case when Russia finds harmful substances in Turkish peaches.
