Famous American singer and actress Barbara Streisand has shared her kind memories of Armenian billionaire and philanthropist Kirk Kerkorian on her Facebook page, reports sputnikarmenia.ru.

“Throughout the years, Kirk Kerkorian was a man of extraordinary generosity. He rarely sought attention or acknowledgement for his contributions,” writes Streisand.

Streisand recalled that she had participated in the opening of Kirk Kerkorian’s international Hotel in Las Vegas in 1969.

“Not until New Year’s Eve 1993 did I return for the opening of his magnificent MGM Grand Hotel,” Streisand mentions.

According to the singer, at that time, because of his generous contribution to her foundation, she was able to give support to the fight against AIDS and the fight Women’s & Children’s Rights and the Environment.

“Then again in 2013 he joined me in the fight against Women’s Heart Disease. He was a unique, rare and very special person and I will always be grateful to him,” wrote Streisand.

National Hero of Armenia Kirk Kerkorian passed away on the eve of June 16, 2015. He was 98 years old.
