Ornela Muti and Nastasya Kinski to arrive in Armenia to participate in Golden Apricot International Film Festival

Italian actress Ornella Muti will be a special guest at the 12th Golden Apricot International Film Festival this year. Muti is better known for her roles in the movies produced by Italian actor, singer and film director Adriano Celentano.

“All men were in love with her and saw her in their dreams, especially in the 1970s. She is coming as a famous actress and will receive an award for her merit in world cinema,” Director of the Golden Apricot International Film Festival Harutyun Khachatryan said, smiling.

One of the other guests of honor is actress Nastassja Kinski, who is Klaus Kinski’s daughter and became very famous after starring in Roman Polanski’s film “Tess”. In 1981, Nastassja Kinski received the Golden Globe Award and the Caesar Award. The film was also nominated for 8 Oscars and won 3 of them.

The festival will also include retrospective screenings of the films starring Nastassja Kinski, including Vim Venders’s “Paris, Texas”, Andrey Konchalovski’s “Maria’s Lovers” and Polanski’s “Tess”.

The other guest of honor is French actor, screenwriter and film director Patric Chene. The festival will include the screening of Stefan Brize’s film “I’m Not Here To Be Loved”, which stars Chene.

“It seemed to me it would be hard to give the audience such a gift, but we tried,” Khachatryan said.

The latter added that the organizers are in a little crisis because of the sponsors, but they want the festival to turn into a real celebration for the Armenian audience and see it develop year after year.

The 12th Golden Apricot International Film Festival will be held from July 12 to 19 in Yerevan.
