Iran might recognize the Armenian Genocide soon
There might be signs of recognition of the Armenian Genocide in Iran in the near future. This is what Armenian Deputy of the Mejlis of Iran Karen Khanlarian announced, reports the Iranian-Armenian community’s Haieli.com.
Touching upon Iran’s potential recognition of the Armenian Genocide, the Armenian parliamentarian particularly mentioned the following: “The Iranian-Armenian community is very active. The community organized protests this year. The government expresses its support to the protests by granting permission. Even parliamentarians made statements condemning the Armenian Genocide.”
“Iran is facing a grave political situation in regard to the operations of ISIS and Turkey’s role, but I’m not ruling out Iran’s condemnation or recognition of the Armenian Genocide after this grave political situation is resolved,” Khanlarian continued.
