Aleppo-Armenians open market in Yerevan (video)

Armenians of Aleppo have opened a market located near the Republic Square Metro Station in Yerevan. The traders are Syrian-Armenians who have moved to Armenia due to the war in Syria, writes Yerkir Media.

Kevork Sukiasian has been working as a barber and hairdresser in Aleppo since his prime. He had started a small business, but the war forced him and many other Armenians of Aleppo to leave everything behind and start from scratch.

Now he provides services not only to his Armenian customers from Aleppo, but also many citizens of Yerevan. He says he hasn’t lost hope for return, even though he’s content with the conditions in Armenia.
