The Youth Organization of the Southern Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church is gradually growing with its patriotic acts and programs. The Organization celebrates all national and church holidays of the Republic of Armenia, responds to the priorities of the homeland and all Armenians and every date linked to the homeland with various kinds of events, charity acts and celebrations. The day of the national flag of the Republic of Armenia served as another occasion to unite, gain knowledge about Armenia’s state emblems and feel vigor and energy. Dressed in tricolor shirts, the youth built a flag in the square of Vardanyan Educational and Cultural Center, waved the large flag that they had built with their own hands and placed it at the balcony of the second floor of the Vardanyan Educational and Cultural Center after a rapid and beautiful march. The youth presented the essence of the state emblem, the national flag and anthem, the history of their creation and acceptance and talked about the creators. The songs “Mer Hairenik” (Our Homeland), “Karmir, Kapuyt, Tsiranaguyn” (Red, Blue and Apricot Color) were heard in all parts of the square. Afterwards, the students of Armat School gave a concert called “We’ll Live in Peace”, and the Narek Armenian Folk Song and Dance Ensemble performed its famous “Shurjpar” (Round-Dance) and the dance called “Togh Tsatsanvi Yeraguyne” (May the Tricolor Flag Wave). The children gathered around the soil brought from the homeland and swore to stay true to Armenian traditions, and all the young people were dancing the Armenian “Kochari”. May the Armenian tricolor flag wave forever! May the Armenians triumph, and may the Armenians dance the “Kochari” at the foot of Mount Ararat!
