Armenian historical and cultural heritage portrayed in Turkish photographer’s photos

Alef Publishing House has released a book presenting the documental photos that Turkish photographer Nuran Akka has taken over the past seven years.

Ermenihaber writes that, according to the Turkish Vatan, Akka’s photos include photos that show the Armenian trace in Turkey.

Among the photos are photos of the Holy Cross Armenian Church on Akhtamar Island in Van, the only Armenian village in Hatay, as well as several Armenian historical and cultural structures in Kars and Kayseri (Kesaria).

The book also includes the photographer’s articles.
