Archive of Balyan family has been transferred to Armenia

After six months of negotiations led by the Minister of Urban Development of the Republic of Armenia, the archive of the Balyan family of architects (designs, photos and notes, letters and documents) has been transferred to Armenia, writes armradio.am. The Balyans are known for having designed several famous and highly valuable buildings in Constantinople.
Along with this unique heritage, Italy-based architect Armen Kureghyan has granted the archive of photos of Armenian architectural monuments created by architects Levon, Hovhannes and Armen Kureghyan and unknown architects between the years of 1900 and 1904 to the RA Ministry of Urban Development as a donation.
