Event dedicated to Robert Babloyan’s 80th anniversary in Moscow

On May 24, an event dedicated to the 80th anniversary of renowned writer, journalist and painter of the Armenian community of Moscow Robert Babloyan was held in Moscow. The event was hosted by artistic director of Parajanov Theater of Moscow V. Gabbe and began with the screening of a short film devoted to Babloyan.

The event included speeches by Second Secretary of the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia V. Melkumova, board member of the Union of Armenians of Russia A. Matosyan, chairman of the board of the Union of Writers of Russia in Moscow V. Boyarinov, member of the Union of Writers of Armenia and the Union of Writers of Russia A. Ohanyan, director L. Grigoryan, painter and Chairman of the Literature Committee of the Union of Armenians of Russia N. Gabrielyan, President of the Women’s Union of Russia A. Arakelyan and several other guests.

The congratulatory messages of the RA Ambassador to the Russian Federation and the RA Minister of Diaspora were transmitted to Babloyan.
