In addition to actor George Clooney, founders of the of the 100 LIVES project of the Initiatives for the Development of Armenia (IDeA) Foundation stand ready to collaborate with other famous people if they, just like the aforementioned Hollywood actor, are fighting against genocides.

Project co-founder Noubar Afeyan told the above-said to Armenian News-NEWS.am.

“It wasn’t George Clooney’s being a Hollywood star that appeal to us,” Afeyan said. “George Clooney was interesting for us because he is also engaged in genocide issue; he has his project to help that genocide would not occur in the future.”

Noubar Afeyan also confirmed that Clooney will attend the 100 LIVES initiative’s annual Aurora Prize award presentation that will be held on April 24, 2016, in the Armenian capital city of Yerevan.

The prize will be awarded to people who put themselves at risk by saving the lives of others.
