The Armenian Genocide did take place: Belgian PM
The Armenian Genocide did take place. This is what Prime Minister of Belgium Charles Michel told Belgium’s La Libre newspaper, reports Artsakhpress.
Touching upon his position on the Armenian Genocide, Michel announced: “Our position has always been clear. The Armenian Genocide did take place. There can’t be two views on the issue.”
Let us remind that the Senate of Belgium recognized the Armenian Genocide in 1998.
Let us also mention that there was recently a dispute with certain Belgian MPs of Turkish descent who had refused to respect the memory of the victims of the Armenian Genocide with a moment of silence in parliament.
