The municipality of Ninotsminda held a special celebration this year on May 9, that is, Victory Day.

The 70^th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War was celebrated with a special program that included film screenings, visits to the monument to the compatriots who died in the Great Patriotic War and a festive concert…

The major event took place near the monument in the region.

More than 5,000 fighters had left the region for the battlefield, of which 2,000 never returned. Almost all the veterans died during the post-war era, and there are only 4 veterans living in the entire region. They were respected and cared for. At the cultural center with a packed audience, the gathered respected the memory of the fighters who died in the military front and from the back during the years of the war with a moment of silence, after which representatives of the region’s self-sufficient groups, music school and Rafael Javakh Center gave a beautiful concert. The ceremonies serve as tribute to those who fought for the homeland. Spiritual pastor of the region, Father, Priest Armash Poghosyan was also participating in the event.
