Hayern Aysor reports that Krikor (Greg) Basmadjian has passed away.

Krikor Basmadjian was one of the long-time members of the Armenian community of Singapore. For many years, he was the chairman of the board of trustees of the St. Gregory the Illuminator of Singapore. He made great contributions to the preservation and fortification of the 179-year-old Armenian Church of Singapore. He dedicated his entire life to serving the Armenian Apostolic Church and did great deeds for the preservation of Armenian churches in Singapore, as well as in Yangon, Myanmar and Dhaka.

Last year, by the condac of Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II, the Saint Nerses Shnrohali Order of Honor of the Armenian Holy Apostolic Church was granted to Krikor (Greg) Basmadjian.
