Chinese-Armenian relations in tourism are entering a new stage.

The Government of the People’s Republic of China has already officially announced about granting the Approved Destination Status (ADS) to Armenia, and the Government of the Republic of Armenia is taking steps to provide for the next procedures, writes Artsakhpress. Taking into consideration the above mentioned and attaching importance to the need for activation and strengthening of the Chinese-Armenian cooperation from the perspective of the development of tourism in Armenia, the Government of the Republic of Armenia will adopt the draft of the decision of the Government of the Republic of Armenia “On Ensuring the Effective Organizing of Group Trips of Chinese Tourists to Armenia”. The draft is included in the agenda for the April 22 session of the Armenian government.

According to Chinese legislation, Chinese tourists may travel in groups to countries that have been granted the Approved Destination Status by the Government of the People’s Republic of China.
