Iran grants scholarships to 15 Armenian students to study in Iran

Iran has granted scholarships to 5 professors and 15 students of Armenia to work and study in the field of natural sciences in Iran.
This is what Minister of Science, Research and Technologies of the Islamic Republic of Iran Mohammad Farhadi announced today following the signing of a memorandum of mutual understanding between the Ministers of Education of Iran and Armenia at the RA Ministry of Education and Science.
“The signing of this memorandum will help us strengthen and deepen our cooperation. Besides the exchanges of professors and students, we will also exchange experiences. We will specify scholarships in the short run and in the long run. Besides universities, scientific technoparks will also be in collaboration,” Mohammad Farhadi stated.
RA Minister of Education and Science Levon Mkrtchyan emphasized that Armenia’s doors and opportunities are open for Iranian students and professors. “The visit of such a multi-sector delegation will foster our cooperation in the science sector. The results of Iran in the science sector are impressive. Iran is one of the global leaders in several directions. We have a very large field for cooperation.”
By this memorandum, the parties will promote the cooperation between scientific organizations, universities and research institutions and will strengthen the relations between the academic communities of both countries.
In particular, the parties will coordinate bilateral funding for joint research projects in sectors of mutual interest, including physics, natural science, biotechnology, nanotechnology, aquatic sciences, engineering and high productivity computer calculations.
A joint committee on science, research and technologies will also be set up.
