Armenia is ready for the implementation of the agreements reached in Vienna and Saint Petersburg

Armenia is ready for the implementation of the agreements reached during the meetings held in Vienna on 16 May and in Saint Petersburg on 20 June.

This is also what President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan stated during his August 10 meeting with President of Russia Vladimir Putin in Moscow. After a government session, at journalists’ request, RA Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Ashot Hovakimyan touched upon the issue.

“It was about the agreements that were reached during the meetings in Vienna and Saint Petersburg. The President very clearly stated that it referred to the trilateral ceasefire agreements reached for an indefinite period in 1994 and 1995, the agreements on the introduction of mechanisms for investigations into incidents and the expansion of the capacities of the team of the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office. This is very clearly stated in the President’s speech,” Hovakimyan said.

The President of the Republic of Armenia had expressed gratitude for the Russian side’s efforts for a political and diplomatic settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and had attached importance to the implementation of the reached agreements.
