RA Minister of Diaspora receives Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Republic of Armenia Mohammad Raeisi

On September 22, RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan received outgoing Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Republic of Armenia Mohammad Raeisi.

Greeting the Ambassador, the minister praised the contributions that he had made to Iranian-Armenian relations and expressed gratitude for his support to the implementation of programs and other initiatives that the RA Ministry of Diaspora has carried out with the Armenians of Iran.

“I’m happy and grateful for the fruitful cooperation and the sincerity that you have shown towards Armenia and the Armenian people,” the minister mentioned, expressing confidence that the Ambassador would continue to contribute to the development of Iranian-Armenian relations with his knowledge.

Expressing gratitude to the minister for the kind words and appreciation, Ambassador Mohammad Raeisi said he loves and highly respects the Armenian people and is happy to have had the opportunity to serve for the strengthening of relations between the two friendly countries. He emphasized that he is more than optimistic about the future of Iranian-Armenian relations since there is great potential and those relations are hinged on the experience that has been gained throughout the centuries.

During the meeting, the sides attached importance to the fact that Iran and Armenia maintain their sincere and friendly relations in this difficult region, which highly contributes to peace and stability in the region.
