“With you, Armenia” concerts commemorating Armenian Genocide will be held in Saint Petersburg and New York this May, Culture Minister Hasmik Poghosyan said.
“With you, Armenia” project kicked off in Jerusalem and is very important in terms of the involvement of different countries in the events dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, Poghosyan said.
“The idea is that influential orchestras, choirs, artists touch upon the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide and act with different concert programs. Concert in Jerusalem was followed by a concert in Estonia, and then in Argentina, Switzerland, and the recent concerts in Brussels,” the Minister added.
Hasmik Poghosyan drew attention to the upcoming May concert at Carnegie Hall, because a new work by Polish composer Krzysztof Penderecki will be performed.
“The concert will feature musicians from around the world, including Evgeny Kissin and Hover choir from Armenia,” Poghosyan added.
