His Holiness Aram I, Catholicos paid heed to the personal and fraternal invitation of Pope Francis and left for the Vatican this morning.

The delegation of the Supreme Patriarch includes Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Tehran, His Grace, Father, Archbishop Sepuh Sarkisian; Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Cyprus, His Grace, Father, Archbishop Nareg Alemezian; Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Lebanon, His Grace, Father, Bishop Shaheh Panosian; His Grace, Father, Archbishop Yeprem Tapagian; crosier, Father, Friar Nshan Lakhoian and benefactors, Mr. and Mrs. Bezikians.

His Holiness will be participating in the Divine and eternal Liturgy to be served by the Pope at the St. Peter’s Basilica of the Vatican on the occasion of the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide. The Supreme Patriarch and his delegation will also be attending the events to be held on this occasion.
