Armenian citizens were evacuated from Yemen by Russian airplanes. The Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Tigran Balayan told Armenpress about it, stating that there are about ten evacuated Armenians among the evacuated.

On April 5 the Russian ITAR TASS informed that Russia continues providing for the security of its citizens and the foreigners living in Yemen, including their evacuation. It was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, informing about the airplanes, arrived to Moscow, bringing more than 300 citizens of the Russian Federation and other countries. “67 of the evacuated are Russian citizens, 245 from Belarus, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Armenia, Tajikistan, Moldova, Kyrgyzstan, as well as Cuba, Egypt, Syrian and Yemen”, ­ says the press release.
