April 1 marks the birthday of renowned Armenian cinema and theatre actor Khoren Abrahamyan.
The People’s Artist of Soviet Armenia and the USSR would turn 85 today if alive.
His most popular on-screen roles were the ones played in the movies The Saroyan Brothers, Song of First Love, We and Our Mountains, The Lord etc.
As a stage actor, Abrahamyan for many years played at the Gabriel Sundukyan National Academic Theater. He also worked as a stage director.Abrahamyan died on December 10, 2004 in Yerevan.
