Schoolchildren of bordering Berkashat village held 100 meter long Armenian tricolor flag

The bordering Berkashat village of Armavir province is the village where President of the “Tigran Mets” Charitable Foundation, participant of the Artsakh liberation war, photojournalist Srapion Gevorgyan was born and where he and his family live to this day.

The bordering village spotted on the tip of the map of Armenia faces many big and small problems. So, it is not by chance that the “Tigran Mets” Charitable Foundation tries to engage the residents of Gevorgyan’s hometown in all of the Foundation’s initiatives in order to ease the burden on the adults’ shoulders to a certain extent, as well as entertain children and make the local schoolchildren’s daily activities more instructive and interesting.

On March 11, the “Tigran Mets” Charitable Foundation held a regular event in Berkashat village.

At midday, children gathered in the yard of the local school and greeted Srapion Gevorgyan, who had come to the school of his hometown with a 100 meter long Armenian Tricolor flag symbolizing the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.

A flashmob dedicated to the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide was held in the schoolyard. During the event, the schoolchildren held the 100 meter long flag, after which they formed a circle and respected the memory of the innocent victims for 100 seconds.
