On March 12, RA Deputy Minister of Diaspora Serzh Srapionyan, Advisor to the RA Minister of Diaspora Stepan Petrosyan, as well as the heads and employees of the relevant departments and divisions held a teleconference with representatives of the Armenian Youth Association of Moscow at the RA Ministry of Diaspora.

Among the representatives of the Armenian Youth Association of Moscow were President Hovsepyan, Vice-President Tarkhanyan and member Mnatsakanyan.

Greeting the participants of the teleconference, RA Deputy Minister of Diaspora Serzh Srapionyan attached importance to the dissemination of ideas about preservation of the Armenian identity among Diaspora Armenian youth, welcomed the Association’s steps and urged the members to show more active participation in the programs carried out by the RA Ministry of Diaspora.

President Hovsepyan talked about the activities of the Armenian Youth Congress of Russia (AYCR) pan-Russian Armenian youth organization established at the initiative of the Armenian Youth Association of Moscow, the organization’s current issues and upcoming programs and informed about the organization’s past and upcoming events dedicated to the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide.

Hovsepyan attached importance to the organization’s active role in the public and political life of the Armenian community of Moscow and emphasized the fact that the organization actively participates in the forums, meetings and roundtable discussions.

Head of the Division for Scientific and Educational Programs of the Department of All-Armenian Programs at the RA Ministry of Diaspora Sirvard Hambaryan presented the youth programs of the Department and mentioned that those programs promote not only the development of the Armenia-Diaspora partnership, but also the establishment of relations between Armenian communities within the Armenian Diaspora.

The participants of the teleconference also discussed details on the youth forum to be held by the RA Ministry of Diaspora in May-June 2015, particularly the participation of the AYCR.

President Hovsepyan suggested organizing and holding some of the events of the Ministry of Diaspora of the Republic of Armenia in Armenian-populated cities of Russia, in response to which the participants of the teleconference mentioned that the suggestion would be discussed and the results of the discussion would be reported to members of the AYCR.
