Armenian alphabet and Armenian Genocide showcased at exhibition opened in Istanbul
The topic of the Armenian Genocide is one of the topics presented at the “Centennial of Centennials” exhibition taking place in Turkey.
As the Turkish Radikal reports, the exhibition opened at Solt Beyoglu Hall in central Istanbul is dedicated to the centennials of different events. The exhibition particularly showcases samples that are linked to the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Dardanelles (Gallipoli), the Balkans War (the 100th anniversary was marked in 2013), the First World War (the 100th anniversary was marked in 2014), as well as the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide. The exhibition also showcased famous Turkish writers and scholars whose 100th birthdays were marked in the past couple of years.
Dilek Winchester, who was participating in the exhibition, presented his book devoted to the Armenian alphabet in a separate section. The book attracted visitors’ attention. With this book, the author has made an attempt to present the Armenian alphabet that was used on these lands 100 years ago.
The “Centennial of Centennials” exhibition will run until May 24th.
