Armenian communities of the Diaspora have published calendars devoted to the Armenian Genocide Centennial

Every year, Armenian communities in the Diaspora publish calendars presenting Armenian national and religious holidays.

According to “Hayern Aysor”, this year, the calendars published by the Armenian communities of Kuwait, Israel and Jordan will be devoted to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.

The 12 pages of the calendar published by the Armenian National School of Kuwait include biographies of Armenian intellectuals killed during the Armenian Genocide, as well as pictures of Armenian Genocide monuments placed in different countries around the world.

The calendars in Israel and Jordan were published at the initiative of the regional committees coordinating the events for the commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. The calendar published in Jordan includes Armenian Genocide monuments located in different countries around the world. Interestingly, the information is written in the official language of the respective countries. For instance, the information about the Armenian Genocide monument in France is written in French, and the list goes on.

What’s interesting about the calendar published in Israel is that the Armenian holidays are mentioned according to the old and new calendars.
