Condolence message of RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan on the death of Garbis Nazarian

To the Armenian community of Lebanon,

To the Nazarian family,

Accept our deep condolences on the death of the respected Garbis Nazarian.

I regret that we received the bad news about his death while we were preparing to pay homage to the Great Armenian Benefactor on the occasion of his birthday.

I proudly state that Garbis Nazarian was a genuine Armenian who served the Armenia people and the Armenian community throughout his life during the past century. He lived and worked for the people.

He spread light and warmth in his environment with his image, kindness and modesty.

Mr. Nazarian was unconditionally devoted to the Armenian General Benevolent Union and successfully carried out his activities as a leader.

Garbis Nazarian also made his valuable contributions to the strengthening of the inviolable friendship between the Armenian and Arab nations.

He will live on in our memories for a long time with his presence in spite of his absence, with his divine acts, with the national values that he created through benevolent acts and with his beautiful image as a human being who restarted the odyssey of the glorious 500-year old Nazarian family and inherited to his children the Nazarians’ advice in life, that is, to be devoted to Armenians, the Homeland and do good deeds. Let us console with the fact that his soul will always “soar” in the Armenian highlands, in the Kingdom of God and will always remind us of his presence in our spiritual lives.

With deep sorrow,

Hranush Hakobyan
