Tomorrow marks the first event dedicated to the Armenian Genocide Centennial in the Netherlands this year

The first event dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide in the Netherlands this year will be held in Amsterdam on January 30, as the Federation of Armenian Organizations of the Netherlands (FAON) reports to the “Diary of the Netherlands”.

The event will be organized by the Federation of Armenian Organizations of the Netherlands (FAON) and Gladzor Armenian Student Association (ASV Gladzor) as part of the Holocaust Memorial Day (HMD).

History professor at the University of Utrecht, scientific worker at the NIOD Institute for War, Holocaust and Genocide Studies, Dr. Uğur Ümit Üngör will give a lecture on “Reasons and Process of Genocide” in Dutch.

The guests will also be introduced to the program of Armenian Genocide Centennial events to be held in Holland and in other parts of the world.

Entrance will be free. The event will be held at the CREA Muziekzaal Hall of Amsterdam and will start at 15:00. You can reserve seats in advance by writing to info@faon.nl.
