Samvel Sevian, who is the youngest chess master of the United States of America, celebrated his first victory of the year at the Tata Steel Chess Tournament in the Dutch city of Wijk aan Zee.

Sevian faced off with Russian chess player Vladimir Potkin in the 4^th round of the B Group at the Tata Steel Chess Tournament. After the more than 7-hour match, Sevian managed to win his opponent, celebrating his first victory. The U.S. chess player will face off with Gunina in the next round.

As “Armenpress” reports, in the previous three rounds, Samvel Sevian lost two matches and tied one match. Currently, he is in 11^th place out of all 14 participants and has 1.5 points.
