On December 17, RA Minister of Foreign Affairs Edward Nalbandyan received President of the Armenian General Benevolent Union (AGBU) Berge Setrakian, as the RA MFA press service reports.

Greeting the guest, Minister Nalbandyan praised the AGBU’s contributions to the development of the Armenian nation’s spiritual, cultural and educational life and the preservation of the Armenian identity.

Expressing gratitude for the reception and for the high appreciation of the AGBU’s activities, Berge Setrakian assured that the AGBU will continue its pro-national efforts for the strengthening of the Armenia-Diaspora partnership.

The AGBU’s current and future programs and projects were also discussed during the meeting.

Edward Nalbandyan and Berge Setrakian also touched upon the preparations for the events dedicated to the 100^th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.
