Edward Nalbandyan: “Armenia will collaborate when Turkey shakes the hand that Armenia has extended”

Armenia’s foreign policy is aimed at establishing cooperation with all countries. In a December 12 joint press conference with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Latvia Edgars Rinkevichs at the RA Ministry of Foreign Affairs, RA Minister of Foreign Affairs Edward Nalbandyan emphasized that this is Armenia’s diplomacy that has remained unchanged for years.

“Armenia can establish cooperation with the countries that are ready for that. Can we really establish cooperation with a country that refuses to establish diplomatic relations and keeps the border closed and aggressively leads a policy of denial against the Armenian people? That country must confront its past and move forward by performing its duties and listening to the international community’s view that the ball is in Turkey’s court. That cooperation will be possible when Turkey is ready for cooperation and shakes the hand that Armenia has extended,” Edward Nalbandyan said during a joint press conference with Latvian Minister of Foreign Affairs Edgars Rinkevichs.
