Greece to commemorate Armenian Genocide Centennial with cultural events as well

There are many cultural events included in the series of events dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide to be held in Greece. In the course of the next two months, Hamazkayin Armenian Educational and Cultural Society will be carrying out several cultural programs, reports Greece’s Azad Or newspaper.
There will also be many events that are currently being organized.
On December 14, Hamazkayin’s Nanor Dance Ensemble will perform dances during an event to be held at Virona Square in Virona. Among other participants will be the brass orchestra of Virona Municipality, as well as the dance ensembles of Crete Island and the local schools.
On December 19, the play “Komitas, I Have Come” will be presented in Athens. The play is directed by artistic director of the State Theater of Song Artur Grigoryan.
On January 18, the Armenian Genocide Centennial Greece Central Committee will launch the series of events dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide in Athens. In addition to speeches, there will also be a concert featuring performances by Hamazkayin Greece’s Hakob Papazyan Choir in four voices and Nairi Dance Ensemble.
