Ararat Ghukasyan also presented his book of poems entitled “Searching on the Way” in Moscow. The presentation at the Armenia Pavilion was organized by the local Youth Union and sponsored by Martik Gasparyan, who also sponsored the printing and editing of the book in Moscow and presented his critique of the book, reports the Ararat Armenian Association of Valencia to “Hayern Aysor”.
The event began with a performance by a violinist, after which host Tigran Gasparyan gave the floor to benefactor, academic Martik Gasparyan, who presented the author’s biography, his current activities in Spain and the critique published in the book. Gasparyan also read the letter addressed to the Union of Writers of Armenia with the request for Ararat Ghukasyan’s membership to the Union.
Gasparyan’s speech was followed by a speech by the author, who presented the chapters of the book, explained why he had selected the title of the book and presented details about the traces, community and activities of Armenians of Spain.
Ararat Ghukasyan’s speech was followed by literary critic Abgar Hayrapetyan’s comments on the book.
Russian writer, publicist Alexander Sosnovsky, who had urged Ararat Ghukasyan to publish the book, was also attending the presentation. Sosnovsky talked about the presentation of his book “Georgian Syndrome” in Valencia, which was organized by the Ararat Armenian Association. The congratulatory message granting Sosnovsky membership to the Association was handed over to Sosnovsky on behalf of the Association.
