RA Minister of Diaspora participated in Tekeyan Cultural Association’s annual award ceremony

On November 22, RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan participated in the annual award ceremony held by the Tekeyan Cultural Association at the Tekeyan Center in Armenia.
The Tekeyan Cultural Association was founded in 1947 in Beirut and has chapters in Aleppo, Damascus, Amman, Sydney, London, several cities across North and South Americas, as well as in Montreal and Toronto.
Since 1991, the Central Committee of the Tekeyan Cultural Association in Armenia has been organizing annual competitions for creators of Armenia and the Armenian Diaspora in different fields of culture and science, including the humanities, broadcast journalism, music, fine arts, literary fiction, theater and cinema.
In 2014, David Gasparyan won a literature award for his monograph “Gurgen Mahari”, Yervand Yerkanyan won in the music category for his symphony “Misteria”, Zakar Khachatryan was awarded for his painting entitled “Summer Day”, and Lili Elbakyan won for directing the play “Alice in Wonderland”.
